2012 Supper Club Sauvignon Blanc
Selected from estate grown fruit, Supper Club Sauvignon Blanc exudes all the finest qualities of Marlborough. Ripe tropical stone fruit, a finely textured palate, with balanced refreshing acidity.
We have a simple philosophy - accentuate all that is great about the Marlborough region by utilising ripe fruit to craft premium wines.
The 2012 vintage does not disappoint. Individual vineyard selections were harvested, lightly pressed and cold settled. These batches were cool fermented in individual stainless steel vessels and blended and clarified following critical evaluation.
Pale straw in colour, the wine has an attractive nose with a lifted bouqet of ripe gooseberries supported by herbal aromas and tropical fruit. On the palate classical Marlborough flavours are concentrated and intense.
* We're chuffed that this sauvignon blanc has been selected by Christchurch Casino as "first-pour" after a blind tasting.

Marlborough Vintage Report 2012
We are not really sure what happened to summer this year - the beginning of the growing season was very cool and generally dismal, December was particularly cold and we think we may have seen the sun in January although this is unconfirmed!
This patch of weather affected fruit set in many varieties, with yields being down on previous vintages.
Harvest kicked off slightly later than normal at the start of April and we had six weeks of glorious warm, sunny days.
This fine weather over those critical weeks meant that there was little disease pressure and that the fruit coming into the winery was in perfect condition.
The longer "hang-time" and more even ripening has meant that the wines have got fantatsic balance and vibrant, concentrated flavours.
All of the wines look outstanding, and although the quantity is lower than many would have hoped for, the quality is right up there with the best vintages.
