Marlborough Vintage Report 2015
Cool summer temperatures in early December affected Sauvignon blanc flowering, resulting in reduced fruit set for this variety, however the other key varieties were largely unaffected. The reduced crop levels, coupled with warm dry summer conditions, resulted in very even ripening and exceptional flavour concentration. Harvesting began in the last week of March, with the hot dry autumn weather ensuring all grapes were harvested by the second week of April. The dry settled autumn weather allowed the harvest could progress without interruption, producing some of the most concentrated and exciting wines of recent vintages.
This 2015 Supper Club Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and fruit driven with intense gooseberry aromas supported by hints of blackcurrant. On the palate citrus and lime flavours are married with complex stone fruit qualities. These classical Marlborough flavours are concentrated and intense, matched with fine acidity making a wine with great balance and length.
