Bright, very pale, straw-yellow colour with green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is fresh and lively with aromas of English gooseberries, limes and passionfruit ,quite up-front and accessible, but with good depth and intensity. Dry to taste, bright and intense, juicy flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit feature on the palate. The flavours flow smoothly along the palate line and are enhanced by lacy acidity. A little phenolic texture provides structure and carries the fruit through to a drying finish with good length. This is a dry, up-front, gooseberry and passionfruit flavoured Sauvignon Blanc to match with seafood, poultry and pasta dishes over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. 16.5+/20.
